Administrator of ISIS’ Omar Ibn Al-Khattab Battalion and one of his assistants arrested


Today, the Iraqi Security Media Cell announced the arrest of the administrator of an ISIS battalion and one of his assistants in Nineveh.
A statement by the cell, received by Shia Waves, stated that “in continuation of the intelligence operations carried out by the Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency in the Ministry of Interior, the agency was able to arrest two wanted terrorists in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 / Terrorism) because they belong to ISIS terrorist organization.”
During the investigations with them, the first terrorist admitted that he worked in the so-called Diwan al-Jund al-Ghuraba Brigade and participated in several operations against the Popular Mobilization in the Makhoul Mountains, and then assumed the position of the so-called administrator of the Omar Ibn al-Khattab Battalion.
The statement indicated that “the second terrorist worked in the so-called Non-Islamic Police Bureau, and then he was chosen to participate in terrorist operations in the Makhoul mountains, and after the operations ended, he returned to the city of Mosul and was assigned to fight the security forces participating in the operations to liberate Mosul.”
