Several dead and wounded in bus bombing in Herat, western Afghanistan


A bomb targeting a bus carrying civilians exploded in the western province of Herat.
Six Afghan civilians were killed and 10 others were wounded.
The Herat Security Directorate, affiliated with the Taliban terrorist movement government, said that the explosion occurred in the Hajj Abbas area, without further details.
In turn, the chief doctor of Herat Governmental Hospital, Muhammad Aref Jalali, said in a press statement that the bombing killed 6 people, including women, and wounded 10 others.
For its part, the Afghan Tolo News channel said that the explosion killed 7 people, including 4 women and 3 men, and wounded 9 others.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the bombing.
