The World Health Organization confirmed that there is no evidence so far of a decline in the effectiveness of vaccines against the Omicron mutant, while it called on those vaccinated against Corona to continue to follow precautionary measures.
“There are many things we do not know about the omicron mutant, and we are working with our experts around the world to determine the risk of the mutant in terms of transmission and severity of disease,” the organization said in a statement.
It added, “There is no evidence yet of a decline in the effectiveness of vaccines against the Omicron mutant,” calling on those vaccinated against Corona to continue to follow precautionary measures, especially wearing a mask and social distancing.
