The Indonesian national newspaper, Kompas, dedicated its historical pages to the greatest battle for truth that humanity has witnessed, the eternal battle of Karbala, in which the great principles of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, triumphed over the Umayyad oppression and tyranny.
The newspaper, which was followed by Shia Waves, recounted the most important stations that this holy battle witnessed, in the confrontation of the Imam of Truth and Humanity, the Master of Martyrs, peace be upon him, to the army of unbelief and falsehood, noting that “the impact of this battle was enormous from its day until present day.”
The published historical material reviewed what happened during the Battle of Karbala and the major events that preceded it, most notably the martyrdom of Imam Hassan Mujtaba, peace be upon him, at the hands of the Umayyad tyrants who monopolized the rule and the caliphate of Muslims.
The newspaper pointed out that “what happened in Karbala was shocking, and this battle became one of the reasons for the overthrow of the Umayyads and their tyranny,” concluding the report about the importance of the Karbala battle for humanity and its inspirations for humanity and the outbreak of revolutions in the world.
