The Islamic world remembers the tragedy of the bombing of al-Askariyain Holy Shrine

On the twenty-third of the holy month of Muharram, Ahlulbayt followers remember the tragic bombing of the dome of al-Askariyain Holy Shrine in the holy city of Samarra.
Shias worldwide commemorate the painful memory, when the enemies of religion and humanity committed the crime of demolishing the dome of the shrine of Imam Ali al-Hadi and Imam Hassan al-Askari, peace be upon them, by planting 200 kilograms of explosives.
Believers remember with sadness and pain in mosques, Husseiniyahs and centers, the calamity of the demolition of the holy done by setting up mourning ceremonies and organizing various events to commemorate the event and to inform the world of the extent of harm subjected to Shia Muslims and their religious sanctities.
Shia religious authorities called on all lovers of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, to revive this tragic occasion, to inform the international community and human rights organizations of its size and the harm it has caused to all the loyal and free people in the world.
The Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, said that this crime is a major catastrophe and its effects will never end.
It is worth noting that the holy shrine has been demolished by terrorists 13 times throughout history.
