Pakistan operates 11 flights for its citizens to Iraq to participate in the commemoration of Ashura
Today, the Pakistani government announced the start of flights for its citizens who intend to visit the holy shrines in Iraq, to commemorate the Ashura commemoration.
Pakistani media reported, “Pakistan will operate 11 flights from the airports of Karachi, Lahore, and the capital Islamabad, to Najaf Airport to transport Pakistani pilgrims who will participate in commemorating Ashura in Karbala.”
Pakistani cities are reviving the ceremonies of the holy month of Muharram, as the Pakistani provincial governments have developed special operational procedures, to secure the atmosphere of mourning and the Husseini processions.
