With the advent of the month of Muharram, a new Shia mosque opens in Seattle, USA


The Shia community in the city of Snohomish, in the suburbs of Seattle in the United States of America, rejoiced with the opening of a new mosque and Islamic center to hold Husseini events and rituals.
According to news agencies, followed by Shia Waves, a joyful celebration was held on the occasion of the opening of a Shia mosque and Islamic center in Snohomish, Seattle, attended by representatives of Muslim and non-Muslim denominations.
The news agencies said, “A wide range of political and religious figures attended the opening ceremony of the new Shia mosque, amid various activities to celebrate this important event.”
A number of people present at the ceremony from non-Muslim denominations expressed their happiness at the opening of the new Shia mosque, including the head of the city’s church, Reverend Pat Sanwick, who said, “We all worship one God.”
Meanwhile, Sheikh Masoud al-Zaidi, Vice President of the Snohomish Islamic Society, said, “Our non-Muslim neighbors are receiving the Islamic community in the city with a high degree of positivity.”
