Crowds of Muslims gathered at the edge of Mount Sheikh Hassan Ahwazi to celebrate the anniversary of the entry of the Islamic religion into the land of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina hold annually the “Aiwaz Dede” festival to commemorate the entry of the Islamic religion into the land of the state and this coincides with the last Sunday of the month of June.
This is the largest Islamic gathering in Europe and one of the oldest Islamic historical ceremonies, which are held annually by Muslims in Europe, Turkey and the Balkans, where they gather in the Ayuzadeh temple, read the Quran and pray, and celebrate the anniversary of the entry of Islam into the country.
