The Husseiniyah of Imam Hassan al-Mujtaba, peace be upon him, in the Swedish capital, Stockholm, resumed its religious and cultural activities, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Imam Redha, peace be upon him, after a closure that lasted for more than a year and a half due to the health measures taken to confront the Corona pandemic.
Sheikh Zaki Al-Bayati, representative of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi in Stockholm, said in a statement to Shia Waves, “The followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, and followers of the Supreme Religious Authority in Sweden rejoiced at the reopening of the Husseiniyyah, which coincided with the blessed birth anniversary of Imam Redha, peace be upon him.”
Al-Bayati added that “a joyful celebration was held at the Husseiniyah in the presence of the Ahlubayt followers, to commemorate the birth of Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Redha, peace be upon him, which included lectures and speeches on the occasion, as well as recitations of poems.”
During the last period, the Corona pandemic caused the cessation of most religious, social and cultural activities and events, including the activities of Shia institutions in European countries, and most of them turned to virtual interactive activities on social media, to maintain communication with believers.
