House of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi holds mourning ceremonies on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Sadiq

Today, the house of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, is witnessing the establishment of mourning ceremonies on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Jafar al-Sadiq, peace be upon him.
According to a statement by his Eminence’s office, “the mourning ceremonies will be held in the house of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi to commemorate the painful occasion,” adding that “the ceremonies are broadcasted on Shia TV channels and social networking sites, and in the presence of large crowds of followers of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.”
The mourning ceremonies were held in the Persian language on Sunday morning, and will be held tonight in Arabic, at exactly seven thirty.
On this painful occasion, the Grand Ayatollah Shirazi affirms that “everyone should glorify the rituals of God and perform mourning ceremonies in all parts of the world, and declare it ‘a truthful culture’ as it represents the culture of true Islam and the culture of the Noble Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny.
