Kufa witnesses the conclusion of al-Safeer Festival and unveils new minarets after restoration
The Grand Mosque of Kufa witnessed the conclusion of the activities of al-Safeer Festival and unveiled its new minarets after restoration work.
The custodian of the Kufa Mosque, Muhammad al-Mousawi said, “The secretariat of the Grand Kufa Mosque used to hold the al-Safeer Festival on the anniversary of the entry of the companion Muslim bin Aqil, peace be upon him, to the city, but in the previous year and due to the health conditions, the festival was postponed and was held this year while adhering to preventive measures.”
Al-Mousawi added, “The researches were discussed online, as the festival witnessed important activities, including the opening of the Arabic Calligraphy Exhibition and the opening of the two minarets of the mosque after their restoration.”
