Six Arab terrorists killed by Iraqi forces in Baghdad and Nineveh
Iraqi forces killed six ISIS terrorists, during security operations in Nineveh province and south of Baghdad.
A spokesman for the Iraqi Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief, Major General Yahya Rasoul, said in a statement, that “according to intelligence information, a squad of Nineveh Operations Forces managed, with a qualitative pre-emptive operation, to raid one of the hideouts belonging to ISIS terrorist organization, including an underground tunnel in the village of Khirbet al-Tair.
Rasoul added, “After the security forces besieged the tunnel and completely destroyed it, five terrorists wearing explosive belts tried to escape and were killed and weapons were seized in their possession.”
On the other hand, a joint statement by the Military Intelligence Directorate and the Counter-Terrorism Service stated that during a qualitative intelligence operation, the Military Intelligence Division detachments managed to kill the terrorist, Abo Rabi’, who is the security official for the so-called “Southern State.”
The statement indicated that the operation was carried out in the area of Radwaniyah, south of Baghdad.
