Nigerians commemorate the demise anniversary of Imam Sayed Muhammad al-Shirazi
The Sayyeda Umm al-Banin Center, affiliated with the Shirazi Religious Authority in the Republic of Niger, West Africa, set up a special program to revive the days of demise anniversary of the religious authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Muhammad al-Husseini al-Shirazi, the brother of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, in the presence of a large crowd of Ahlubayt followers.
The attendees recalled the biography of the late Imam al-Shirazi, his historical roles during his time, and the tremendous sacrifices he made with his brothers and his family in order to spread the doctrine of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, and to introduce their great thought.
The center’s management said in a statement received by Shia Waves, “The program of commemorating the painful memory of the departure of Imam al-Shirazi, may Allah bless his soul, witnessed a remarkable presence of followers of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.”
It is worth noting that the demise anniversary of His Eminence coincides with the second day of the coming month of Shawwal, and several Arab and Islamic countries will witness the establishment of special programs to mark the occasion, recalling his biography and his intellectual, religious and cultural legacy.
