Nigeria National Quran Contest concludes its activities


The 35th edition of the National Quran Contest in Nigeria concluded its work, where the winners were honored.
The 9-day national contest was held in the state of Kano in the north of the country.
In a speech at the closing ceremony of the contest, the deputy governor of the state of Kano, Nasro Goona, said that the contest was held with the participation of 180 male contestants and 190 female contestants from 36 Nigerian states.
And he stressed the need to work to support Quranic activities and to publish memorization and recitation of the Noble Qur’an.
Contestant Mohamed Awal Gossao from the state of Zamfara won first place in the men’s contest, and contestant Nasiba Shaibu Ahmed from the state of Kano won first place in the women’s.
