Karbala prepares to revive the massive pilgrimage of Sha’ban

Karbala Police Command announced the start of the security preparations for the revival of the massive pilgrimage of Sha’ban, which marks the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi, may Allah hasten his reappearance, while expressing its hope that pilgrims from various Iraqi provinces come and mark the great occasion.
The Director of Karbala Police Media, Colonel Alaa al-Ghanimi, said in a statement, “The Karbala Police Command, in cooperation with the Karbala Operations Command, has already begun preparing the security forces for the upcoming pilgrimage of Sha’ban.”
He added that the ministry directed the deployment of security services in the holy province at an early date to revive the blessed pilgrimage, and to involve all its security forces to secure the arrival of pilgrims.
Al-Ghanimi explained that the PR and Media Departments have also begun to raise awareness about preventive measures against Covid.
Ahlulbayt followers will commemorate on Monday, corresponding to the 15th of Sha’ban, the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi, may Allah hasten his reappearance.
