Dozens of Boko Haram terrorists killed in Nigeria

A Nigerian official confirmed that dozens of Boko Haram terrorists were killed in a series of air strikes launched by the army in Borno State, northeast of the country.
“The armed forces attacked the hideouts of the militant group near Tomboon Jenny in Borno state last Wednesday,” Nigerian army spokesman John Ennishi said in a press release.
He added, “The air strikes were launched after a series of air surveillance missions that indicated that the site was being used as a staging base, where some of the group’s leaders and their fighters met to plan and launch the attacks.”
Boko Haram has been engaged in an armed rebellion since 2009, when its leader was killed in a Nigerian army prison.
