Stones thrown at mosque in France

A mosque in the city of Dijon, in eastern France, was attacked by stones, and its windows were smashed.
The attack took place on the Al-Nour Mosque, located in the Graceles neighborhood of Dijon, where worshippers going to pray the Fajr prayer noticed the back windows of the mosque were shattered.
Police examined surveillance cameras after reporting the attack, and the recordings showed a masked person walking around the mosque, then throwing stones at the windows.
In a statement, the authorities of the Bourgogne province condemned the attack on the mosque, stressing that the security forces began working to arrest the perpetrator.
France has recently witnessed controversy over the statements of a large section of politicians targeting Islam and Muslims, following the killing of a history teacher named Samuel Patty.
