The International Sayyed al-Shuhada Committee, affiliated with the Shirazi Religious Authority in Kuwait, intends to establish and build 14 Quran teaching centers in East Africa.
The Committee said in a statement, “In compliance with the teachings of the Messenger of God, peace be upon him and his progeny, in learning and teaching the Holy Quran, and based on the directives of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq Husseini al-Shirazi, on the importance of teaching the Holy Quran and spreading its culture among people, the International Sayyed al-Shuhada Committee intends to establish and build 14 Quran teaching centers in East Africa.”
A committee official emphasized that the number 14 symbolizes the number of the Fourteen Infallibles, peace be upon them.
