The Ahlulbayt Charitable Committee, affiliated with the Shirazi Religious Authority in Kuwait, established a medical camp in Singeda, Tanzania, to treat eye diseases.
In a statement, the committee stated that the camp was established based on the directives of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, for the need to provide health services for the poor.
It added that in the camp, medical and therapeutic services are provided free of charge, and many eye patients were examined and treated, while others were referred to the capital of Tanzania and introduced to the medical centers there for treatment.
