Free Muslim: Corruption is a major obstacle to human development and prosperity
The International Nonviolence Organization, Free Muslim, called to support peoples and societies vulnerable to corrupt political regimes, especially in regions of the developing world.
The organization stated in a statement, “Corruption remains a major obstacle to human development and prosperity, and prevents the human from advancing in the face of social, economic and political problems accompanying the movement of development and stability in various countries and peoples, which was reflected as tyranny, oppression, deterioration of the standard of living, wars and other human problems.”
It added that as the international community participates in the International Anti-Corruption Day, which was approved by the United Nations on December 12, as a reminder of the extent of the negatives that this phenomenon reflects on the humanitarian issue, and at the same time as a starting point for confronting it and preventing its continuity and limiting it. The organization expresses its absolute solidarity with this important initiative and its relentless pursuit, through its cultural channels, aimed at confronting all forms of corruption and its various titles.
The organization stressed the importance of governments and human rights organizations giving a wider margin to confront the phenomenon of corruption through legal, cultural and educational channels capable of curbing this rampant phenomenon throughout the international community, calling at the same time to support peoples and societies vulnerable by the corrupt political regimes, especially in regions of the developing world.
