Counter-Terrorism Service kills 16 ISIS terrorists in operation in Kirkuk


The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Yahya Rasool, announced that 16 terrorist elements were killed after clashes in their hideouts in Kirkuk province.
In a statement, Rasool said, “The CTS forces launched a major operation in Kirkuk in the area linking Wadi Zghitoun – Wadi Al-Khanajar, targeting an entire detachment of the remnants of ISIS terrorists.”
The statement added, “The operation resulted in the killing of 16 terrorist elements after clashes in their hideouts, and a number of them were killed as a result of direct gunfire, while others were killed by the international coalition aircraft while they were trying to escape.”
He pointed out that “the CTS found important documents and a number of light and medium weapons, passports, and local and foreign sums of money.”
