A forum titled “Organization of Husseini Servants” was held in the holy city of Karbala to honor those who hosted and served Arbaeen pilgrims. Addressing the program, Sheikh Mazinal-Karbalaey, the head of the organization, said that the members of the group did their best to serve all pilgrims of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and the Iraqi people helped the group in this respect and hosted a large number of the pilgrims.
He said that more than 1000 homes and schools in the holy city hosted around 70 thousand pilgrims.
More than 30 million pilgrims visited Karbala for the annual Arbaeen commemoration this year, setting a record for the annual pilgrimage.
