Millions of Shia Muslims and non-Muslims from across the world are taking part in the march towards Iraq’s holiest city, Karbala. The reason behind this dedication is to attend mourning rituals on Imam Hussein’s Arba’een, which marks the 40th day after his tragic martyrdom anniversary.
O’ Hussein Road is one of the roads that pilgrims walk on annually towards the city of the Master of Martyrs, Peace Be Upon Him. They express their eagerness to sacrifice themselves for the sake of Imam Hussein, Peace Be Upon Him. In addition, the pilgrims strive to illustrate their determination towards visiting Paradise on earth, the Holy City of Karbala.
