Turkmen Shia majority, has witnessed many violations committed by Peshmerga
Iraqi town of Tuz Khurmatu, populated by Turkmen Shia majority, has witnessed many violations committed by Peshmerga Kurdish forces, affiliated to Masoud Barzani; President of Kurdistan region.
Peshmerga forces attacked a Popular Mobilization Unit on a road towards the village of Khidir Wali, killing one Shia fighter and injuring three others.
The Kurdish forces also set Shias’ houses and shops on fire and looted their properties, along with attacking Ashura banners.
Following such attacks, fierce clashed have been erupted between Popular Mobilization Units and Peshmerga forces, the former vowed to attack the later if such violations continued.
