A national competition on “The Best Quranic Research” will be held by the Center for Printing, Interpretation and Sciences of Quran affiliated to al-Abbas Holy Shrine in the holy city of Karbala.
According to Al-Kafeel website, the center’s main objective is to promote the noble Quranic culture based on Hadith Thaqalayn in society.
The themes of the competition include “the influence of Hadith Thaqalayn on Quran interpretation”, “negative results and consequences of interpreting Quran without referring to Hadiths of Ahl-ul-Bayt, peace be upon them”, “a comparative study among Quran interpretations on the basis of Hadith Thaqalayn”, “Quranic recitations and their influence on understanding the Quranic meanings”, and “the script of Mushaf in the first Hijri century”.Hadith of Thaqalayn (the two weighty things) is a famous and mutawatir (frequent) hadith from the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, who said: “I leave after myself the book of Allah (Quran) and my ‘Itra (family) among you, these two will never separate each other till the Judgment Day.”
The hadith is accepted by all Muslims and has come in the hadith books of all of Islamic sects.
The first to the third rank winners will be respectively awarded 8 million, 5 million and 3 million Iraqi dinars.
