Quranic institute for women to open in Iraq

Al-Husnawi said the main objective of the institute is to disseminate the Quranic concepts and teachings among women

 

A specialized Quranic institute called “Al-Kawthar” will be set up for women in Iraq.

According to reports, Anwar Al-Husnawi, in charge of Women Section of the Imam Ai holy shrine, said that courses on Quran recitation and memorization principles will be among the programs of the educational institute.

Al-Husnawi said the main objective of the institute is to disseminate the Quranic concepts and teachings among the women of the society and help them get more acquainted with religious principles.

Al-Husnawi added that girls and women aged 13 to 35 can benefit from the programs of the institute.

Quranic activities have grown significantly in Iraq since the fall of former dictator Sadam Hussein’s regime.
