Pakistan sends 97 tons of aid to Gaza as conflict intensifies

Pakistan has dispatched 97 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza, its National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) announced on Monday, amid ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
The shipment, Pakistan’s 16th aid consignment for Gaza, includes canned food, rice, and powdered milk, and was sent in partnership with the Al-Khidmat Foundation. The aid was flown from Karachi to Amman, Jordan, for delivery into Palestinian territories.
According to Palestinian health authorities, the death toll in Gaza has risen to over 52,500, with more than 118,600 injured. Israeli forces have expanded operations in Gaza, ending a ceasefire in March and sealing off access to essential supplies for nearly two months.
Pakistan, which does not maintain diplomatic ties with Israel, has consistently called for the safe and continuous flow of humanitarian assistance to Palestinians. To date, Pakistan has sent over 2,140 tons of aid to the Middle East, including support for Lebanon and Syria, the NDMA stated.
