Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi announces Monday as Eid al-Fitr

The office of Grand Ayatollah Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi has announced that Monday, March 31, 2025, marks the first day of Shawwal 1446 AH, signifying the beginning of Eid al-Fitr.

In a brief statement obtained by Shia Waves Agency, the office confirmed that Monday was determined as Eid based on religious moon sighting investigations.

Religious centers affiliated with the Shirazi Authority worldwide are expected to hold Eid prayers and related rituals. Grand Ayatollah Shirazi has emphasized using this occasion to strengthen bonds of love and solidarity among believers.
