Daesh claims responsibility for suicide bombing in Kunduz, Afghanistan

Daesh has claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing near a bank in Kunduz, northern Afghanistan, on February 11, 2025, which resulted in five fatalities and seven injuries. The bombing occurred near a branch of Kabul Bank in Kunduz city.
Jumauddin Khaksar, a police spokesman, confirmed the deaths, including that of a bank guard, and stated that authorities are investigating the incident.
This attack follows a similar incident in March 2024, when Daesh claimed responsibility for a bombing outside a bank in Kandahar, the Taliban’s spiritual heartland.
Since the Taliban’s return to power in 2021, Daesh has continued to conduct terrorist attacks, targeting civilians and Taliban officials.
