IFAM opens first mosque in Kelmscott, Western Australia
The Islamic Forum for Australian Muslims (IFAM) has opened its first mosque in Kelmscott, a southeastern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. The project was carried out through community fundraising efforts.
Fraz Chaudhry, a member of IFAM, expressed his joy at the opening, highlighting the mosque’s role in providing diverse religious and social services to Muslims in Kelmscott and nearby areas.
The mosque will also serve as an educational center for children and youth, fostering community engagement and offering safe spaces for family-oriented activities.
