Islamabad hosts 2nd Women’s Festival in honor of Sayyeda Fatima al-Zahra
The second Women’s Festival was inaugurated in Islamabad, Pakistan, organized by the Institute of Prophets’ Heritage for Online Hawza Studies under the theme “Fatima: The Path to Salvation” to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Sayyeda Fatima al-Zahra, peace be upon her.
The festival began on Friday, December 6, 2024, and will run for seven days, featuring various cultural and religious activities. A key highlight of the opening of the festival was the raising of the flag of Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas, peace be upon her, at Al-Kawthar University, attended by a large number of believers.
The event also included a Quranic session honoring the late Sheikh Mohsin Najafi (RA), a prominent religious figure. Sheikh Nasser Abbas Najafi stated that the festival offers a rich program, including a celebration of reaching the age of Takleef for girls, cademic seminars on the life and status of Sayyeda Fatima Fatima, peace be upon her, poetry evenings, and tours of educational, religious, and cultural institutions.
The festival aims to commemorate the martyrdom of the Mistress of the Women of the Worlds, highlight the role of women in Islam, and shed light on aspects of Sayyeda Fatima’s life and virtues, fostering greater cultural and religious awareness in the community.
