Moscow Grand Mosque hosts “World of Quran” exhibition, “Islamic Cinema Week” festival
The “World of Quran” exhibition and “Islamic Cinema Week” festival began on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Moscow’s Grand Mosque. Organized in partnership between Russia’s Spiritual Administration of Muslims and Qatar’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, the events run from November 9 to 14.
The exhibition, announced by Roushan Abyasov, vice president of the administration and head of Moscow’s Quran Recitation Competition, features interactive activities for all ages and showcases life in Mecca and Medina during the time of the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him and his family.
Coinciding with the exhibition, the festival highlights Islamic cinema, aiming to bring attention to Islamic film production. This follows the 22nd Moscow International Quran Recitation Competition, held from November 6 to 8, with participants from over 30 countries, including nine African nations.
