The Freemuslim Association, a global anti-violence organization, has expressed deep concern over the massacres being committed against civilians in Sudan due to the ongoing armed conflicts between the Rapid Support Forces and the Sovereign Military Council.
In a statement received by Shia Waves Agency, the organization warned of an “imminent hidden catastrophe” on the horizon as the international community remains preoccupied with conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon.
The statement referred to credible human rights reports revealing the killing and injuring of hundreds of innocent civilians as a result of the armed conflict, particularly in the capital, Khartoum.
The organization highlighted that sources indicate the crisis has forced thousands of families into homelessness amidst severe shortages in food and healthcare, forewarning of a significant tragedy if the crisis persists.
The Freemuslim Association called on international bodies and organizations to urgently intervene to stop the fighting and shield civilians from the ravages of the conflict, urging the resumption of dialogue between the warring parties and to take measures to curb the escalating social breakdown in Sudan.
