Iraq waives visa fees, procedures for two Turkish age groups

The Iraqi government has decided to exempt two categories of Turkish citizens from “visa issuance procedures” and grant them visas directly at border points.

The decision, made during the Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, stipulates that “citizens of the Republic of Turkey holding ordinary passports who are under 15 and those over 50 are exempt from visa issuance procedures and fees based on the principle of reciprocity.”

The visas will be issued directly at airports and land borders, with a stay duration of 30 days, according to the provisions of the Foreigners’ Residency Law (Law No. 76 of 2017), as per the statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office.
