SRW calls for immediate action to stop genocide against Shias in Parachinar
Shia Rights Watch (SRW) has issued an urgent appeal to all international human rights organizations to take immediate action to stop what it describes as genocide against Shia civilians in Pakistan, demanding them condemn the collusion between Pakistani security forces and extremist terrorist groups.
According to reports, dozens of unarmed civilians, including nine children, were killed in an organized attack carried out by terrorist gangs in collaboration with Takfiri groups against the residents of Parachinar, a border city with Afghanistan that has a Shia majority population.
Observers and several town residents confirmed that security forces are turning a blind eye to the crimes committed by terrorists, while others pointed to collusion between security forces and terrorist groups in executing this suspicious plan.
SRW held the Pakistani authorities fully accountable for the legal consequences of the crimes committed against unarmed civilians, condemning at the same time the negligence and collaboration between security forces and terrorist elements.
The organization called on the international community to intervene immediately and take serious steps to protect civilians in Parachinar and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice, emphasizing the need for the Pakistani government to fulfill its responsibilities in protecting its citizens from violence and religious discrimination.
