The Iraqi paraglider pilot Hussein al-Sheihani is now on the Guinness World Records list after he flew in his paramotor trike carrying the biggest Iraqi flag.
In a press statement, al-Sheihani said, “In a world equipped with immense and superior technical capabilities compared to our country, and with countries that provide unlimited financial resources for their athletes, we have achieved a distinction in air sports that athletes from other countries cannot match.”
He explained that his experience culminated in setting a world record in the Guinness World Records for paragliding with the largest national flag, during powered paragliding.
The Iraqi paraglider pilot added, “Although this type of flight has certain limitations, we developed a scientific training program for a year and a half to overcome all challenges with self-resources, leading to the achievement of this record by raising the flag, measuring 270.25 square meters.”
