Global ‘Imam Hussein Charity’ launches its “Annual Grand Sacrifice Project”
Imam Hussein Charity (IHC), one of the global humanitarian organizations affiliated to the office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, launched its “Annual Grand Sacrifice Project” by slaughtering sacrificial sheep, with the intention of the safety and protection of the awaited Imam al-Mahdi, may Allah Almighty hasten his honourable reappearance.
The charity’s officials told Shia Waves Agency that “the rituals of slaughtering sacrifices of sheep, cattle, camels, and cows were carried out on the morning of the first day of Eid Al-Adha, with their meat distributed to poor and needy families in Iraq and other countries.”
The project included the slaughtering of 90 sacrificial animals in Holy Karbala, Holy Najaf and other cities. The campaign also extended to cities in Afghanistan such as Kabul, Herat, and Mazar-i-Sharif, in addition to other countries like Iran, Turkey, and Ghana.
It should be mentioned that this humanitarian project, launched for the 7th consecutive year, was carried out in cooperation with the Holy Karbala-based Misbah Al-Hussein Foundation for Relief and and Imam Hussein Media Group.
Such charitable and humanitarian programs are organized based on the recommendations of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayed Sadiq Al-Husseini Al-Shirazi, who repeatedly emphasizes the importance of caring for needy families.
