Bangladeshi fishmonger begins handwriting world largest Holy Quran

A fishmonger from the coastal area of Satkhira in southwestern Bangladesh, Mohammad Habib Rahman, has embarked on a journey to write the largest hand-written Quran in the world.

Away from the storms and floods that hit frequently the country, Habib Rahman began this long journey of faith and creativity with enthusiasm and determination.

This Quran is characterized by its length, reaching 11 feet, with a width of 8 feet when closed, and a width of 528 centimeters when opened. Its weight is 405 kilograms.

This magnificent work contains 142 pages, all bearing the fingerprints of the effort and dedication of this simple merchant.
