Grand Ayatollah Shirazi calls on intellectuals, researchers to re-examine true Islam
The Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, called on intellectuals, writers, and researchers across the world to re-examine the true Islam represented by the Messenger of Allah, and his successor, Imam Ali, peace be upon them.
In a statement published on his official website, seen by Shia News Agency, His Eminence stated that “intellectuals and researchers have a great responsibility to reexamine the true Islam through the biography of the Holy Prophet and his successor, Imam Ali, peace be upon them,” adding that “intellectuals and researchers, in turn, carry this true Islam to the entire world.”
Grand Ayatollah Shirazi explained that “the original Muhammadan Islam is a pure and immaculate religion, full of virtue and humanity, attributed to what was practiced by the then government headed by the Holy Prophet, who set the greatest example in governance throughout history.”
He further stated that “if the leader of the Muslims follows the example of the Messenger of Allah and Imam Ali, peace be upon them, there will not remain a single poor person in the Muslim lands or someone who cannot find a home to live in or a young person unable to marry due to poverty.”
He emphasized that “there has never been a person in the history and life of the Prophet who remained poor forever, and this is what the world must know about the true Islam and what rulers must adhere to.”
The statement concluded that “rulers in Islamic countries should not exploit and misuse public funds at the expense of Muslims and their lives, freedom, and dignity.”
