US: Student organizations host Ramadan iftar dinner
The Southern Mississippi University in the United States announced that on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, they would be hosting a communal iftar meal on the main campus.
The university stated in a special report published on its official website and was seen by Shia Waves Agency, that the event, sponsored by the Pakistani Student Organization and the Muslim Student Association at the university located in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, welcomed all students and faculty.
The report further explained that iftar is the main meal for fasting Muslims during the blessed month of Ramadan, where they engage in fasting, prayer, and reflection.
The university iftar meal also included a religious lecture discussing the significance of Ramadan in Islam, group discussions, and various other activities.
