Turkey: Shia Muslims hold various programs to honour blessed month of Ramadan
In a spiritual and tranquil atmosphere, Shia Muslims in Istanbul, Turkey, have continued to observe the rituals and practices of the holy month of Ramadan.
Shia Waves correspondent in the city reported that “mosques and Shia Hussainiyyas in Istanbul are witnessing a significant and active presence of Turkish citizens and Shia communities to observe the rituals and practices of the holy month of Ramadan.”
He further mentioned that “Turkish Shia Muslims are experiencing beautiful spiritual atmospheres during these blessed days, renewing their commitment to the teachings of the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him and his family, and to take advantage of the days of this blessed month and to seek nearness from Allah Almighty.”
These days see various religious programs such as holding Quranic sessions, religious lectures as well as Iftar meals to serve thousands of attendees.
Shia Waves correspondent mentioned that “Istanbul will witness grand celebrations on a wide scale to commemorate the blessed birth anniversary of Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba, peace be upon him, as well as to observe the blessed nights of Qadr and special programs commemorating the painful anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali, the Commander of the Faithful, peace be upon him.”
