Imam Ali Holy Shrine prepares to host 1st International Heritage Conference
The Secretariat-General of the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, announced today its readiness to host the 1st International Heritage Conference, which will take place during the period April 20-21 with broad international participation.
The Holy Shrine aims, through this international conference, to shed light on the precious heritage of the holy shrine of Imam Ali and the heritage and history of the city of Holy Najaf.
The head of the Alawi Assembly for Islamic Research and Studies, Naba Al-Hamami, stated in a press release that “the Assembly held a special consultative meeting to prepare for the first International Heritage Conference.”
He added that “the participants discussed the conference agenda and the research papers to be presented, which have reached 30 research papers, and tested what was suitable and in line with the conference agenda.”
He noted that “there will be other meetings determined by the scientific committee according to the requirements,” explaining that “the first edition of the conference will be held at the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali and will cover diverse topics.”
He further added that “the deadline for submitting research papers has been set for March 20, after which no more papers will be accepted in order to work on evaluation as they require specialized and continuous work.”
