Shia Muslims in Pakistan mark 2nd anniversary of Peshawar Mosque terrorist bombing

The Shia followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, in Pakistan have commemorated the second anniversary of the tragic incident that resulted in the martyrdom and injury of around 250 people in the Kucha Risaldar mosque, in Peshawar’s old city.

The terrorist attack, carried out by a suicide bomber affiliated with ISIS, claimed the lives of 100 individuals and injured 150 others during Friday prayers at the mosque on the 30th of Rajab, 1443 AH.

The Supreme Religious Authority condemned the terrorist attack which targeted the Shia followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.

Imam Hussein Media Group also expressed its condemnation of the terrorist attack which resulted in the martyrdom of a number of Shia people.

In its statement released shortly after the bloody incident, the media group said that: these terrorist gangs have continued to savagely shed the blood of Shia Muslims because they are committed to the true Mohamadan Islam and the teachings of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.”

Shia groups in Pakistan and Iraq strongly condemned this terrorist attack targeting Shia worshippers, expressing their condolences to the families of the victims and calling for increased cooperation and coordination to confront these terrorist groups.

The bombing of the Kucha Risaldar mosque in Peshawar was a horrific incident that had a significant impact on the Shia community in Pakistan and garnered global condemnation of terrorism and extremism.
