Biggest mosque in Turkish Cyprus opens its doors to worshippers

The biggest mosque in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), with 62 domes and six minarets, opened its door to worshippers on Thursday, Daily Sabah reported.

The building of Suat Günsel Mosque was built on an area of 30,000 square meters, and took 10 years to build, according to the article, which says it can allow up to 10,000 worshippers at the same time.

The dome and interior decorations of the mosque feature spectacular oil paintings, with stained glass adorning the 104 windows of the mosque.
