Turkish police arrest 24 Afghan immigrants near Iranian border

Turkish authorities detained 24 Afghan migrants near the Iranian border in Igdir, with two facing human trafficking charges, media reports say.

According to reports, these individuals were detained by the Turkish police at the exact moment they were trying to enter Turkey using a motor vehicle from the Iran-Turkey border.

Earlier, Turkish media, citing police sources, had announced that approximately 85 undocumented refugees were detained by Turkish police, out of which 82 were Afghan citizens.
