A Muslim man was beaten to death and his co-traveller was savagely assaulted by cow vigilantes in India, Free Press Kashmir reported yesterday.
The news outlet reported the victims’ families as saying that, “Hindu right-wing men, who were about 26, violently assaulted the two Muslim men in their car, handcuffed them and subjected them to brutal beating.”
The incident took place earlier this week near Gambhirwadi on Ghoti-Sinnar Road in the Igatpuri area of Nashik, located more than 150 km from Mumbai, an official told PTI.
It should be mentioned that such incidents occur frequently in India when cow vigilantes attack Muslims based on suspicion of beef transportation.
