According to the latest demographic data for 2025, Asia remains the primary center of the world’s Muslim population.

The Shia Waves Agency, citing Pew Research Center, reported that Indonesia has the largest Muslim population, with approximately 242.7 million followers, followed closely by Pakistan with around 240.7 million. These figures highlight the significant role of South and Southeast Asia in the global Muslim demographic.

Despite having a majority non-Muslim population, India ranks third, with an estimated 200 million Muslims. Bangladesh and Nigeria follow in subsequent positions, rounding out the countries with the largest Muslim populations worldwide.

These statistics underscore the continued concentration of Muslims in Asia, reflecting long-standing population trends shaped by historical, cultural, and social factors in the region.
