Fire at Entertainment Venue Claims at least 24 Lives in Western India

At least 24 people, many of them children, tragically lost their lives in a devastating fire that broke out on Saturday evening at a family entertainment venue in the western Indian state of Gujarat, Al Jazeera reported yesterday.

The fire engulfed the entire structure, leaving the building gutted and charred, with some victims beyond recognition, the source mentioned.

An investigation into the cause of the fire has been handed to a Special Investigation Team, with two people already detained in connection to the incident, the news agency added.
