Thousands of Indian farmers convene in New Delhi to demand ‘minimum crop prices’

Thousands of farmers gathered in New Delhi to demand legislation for minimum support prices for all crops and other demands, Anadolu Agency reported.

Last month, farmers’ unions from Punjab called for a “March to Delhi.” They clashed with police when attempting to enter Haryana, and have been camping at the Punjab-Haryana borders since then.

Farmers at the rally have stressed the need for the ruling party to listen to their voice, with speakers at the rally stating that their fight will continue until their demands are met.
