Imam Hussein Media Group receives first pilgrim upon return from Sayyeda Zainab Shrine

The Secretary-General of Imam Hussein Media Group, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sheikh Mustafa Al-Muhammadi, has received at the group’s headquarters the first Shia pilgrim who recently returned from visiting the Holy Shrine of Sayyeda Zainab, peace be upon her.

The first group of Iraqi pilgrims arrived at the Sayyida Zainab shrine near Damascus on January 12, marking the resumption of visits following recent political changes in Syria.

Informed news sources confirmed that the group of 12 pilgrims traveled from Baghdad International Airport to Damascus and proceeded to the shrine for performing religious rituals.

Sheikh Ahmad Al-Ameen welcomed the visitors, emphasizing the importance of such pilgrimages in strengthening spiritual and cultural ties among Shia communities worldwide.

The Sayyida Zainab shrine is a key spiritual destination for Shia Muslims, attracting pilgrims from Iraq, Iran, and the Gulf due to its religious and historical significance.
